New Feature Request: Buy X Get Y Free - multiple items in the same category.

I would like to request that a new discount rule function is created to allow the "Buy X, Get Y Free" discount to work with multiple items in the same category, not just when all of the items are the same, or when X number of a specific item are purchased. We carry a number of different coffee mugs, and we would like to be able to have the customer mix and match their selections and still be eligible for the discount. (All items in this case are the same price, but it would be really nice if it worked for items with different pricing as well.)
