I created the gift card but I don't know how to send out to a new customer. Is it auto send or where can I initiate the sending ?

  For the gift card to be send to the customer you need to enter the customer's email address - once it's created and saved they get automatically the email.
  If you are using a Gift Card Product, you'll need to invoice the gift card first, then it's been sent to the recipient.
