Slider or Carousel on the home page?

This has become pretty much the norm for websites, how is everyone achieving this inside the zoey home page?

  Zoey has a slider on the home page in the design tools, you should see it pretty easily when in the design editor and on the home page of your site. 
  
  The one caveat is that it is dimensionally HUGE. I cannot seem to figure out how to make it less tall, when it is full width of the website.
