Free Gift with Purchase

We want to be able to automatically add a free gift to a user's shopping cart if they purchase a specific product, or spend over $100.

  You can create a Discount Rule with the Action of Automatically Adding a Product (or multiple) to a customer's cart and discounting the product, letting them remove it or not and many other options. This is found in Promotions->Discount Rules.

  I emailed support about a feature like this as per below:

  ...set a promotion where if a customer purchases, for example, two products a third is added free of charge automatically.

  I can see that you can do buy x get y free, but it seems that the customer needs to add the item to get the discount/free item.

  What we really want is to be able to allow customers to choose from a range of products and if the conditions are met to automatically add a free product/gift to their cart.

  So definitely count me as a vote for this. We feel it would make a big difference to our sales!
