I'm looking to add a second site that is wholesale only but the site would need Password Protection and be invisible to search engines.

  That would be good, but it would only be awesome with a better native inventory management.

  Its my understanding that in the relatively near future Zoey will be launching the ability to handle multiple front ends from the same backend as is available with typical Magento setups. This would allow you to build out a new front end that is wholesale only.
