Default product option

Sometimes customers may not see that a product option is required and are looking for the "default" setup. For example we have many products with a simple "no thanks" or "yes please (+cost)" custom option structure. 

I would love the option to be able to set "No thanks" as a default option to simply the customer checkout process, vs them not realizing, clicking add to cart and receiving an error for not having chosen an option. It seems like a potentially very unnecessary step.
