Manufacturer/Designer option

Would be great to be able to have a manufacturer/designer field so that it could be a searchable field.  

For example - fashion boutiques need a way for customers to search by designer.

  Manufacturer is a built in attribute. While Designer isn't, you can create a custom attribute and assign it to your product type. You can set it to be indexed for search, and if it is a drop-down or multi-select attribute, it can appear in the layered navigation search. Check out: https://support.zoey.com/docs/attributes
