Add overlay badges to product images

We would like the ability to add overlay badges to images, similar to the ones found in the Zoey backend on up-sell products that say "not-visible"
It would be great to have strips, stars, cirsles with messages like -
- Price Reduced
- New
- BOGOF (buy one get one free) or 3 for 2 etc

Just realised not only is there already a post for this but I voted on it! Duh! So this one can be removed.
