Copy/Save element from one page to another

I would like to copy an element(s) from one page to another. If I design a block with text and image that needs to be on multiple pages but not all pages, it would be useful to be able to copy or save the element to apply to another page without have to recreate it.

  This is crucial if one wants a consistent look across many pages.  Maybe a way to save blocks so that they are available as custom design objects
