Disable shipping option on specific products?

Is it possible to disable shipping only for specific items?
For instance if a customer has items in their cart that we prefer not to ship, is there a way to disable the shipping option during checkout ?

  Hi Mary - Not sure I understand what you're asking. If you don't want to ship a product you need to make it a Virtual Product otherwise the products are able to be shipped.

  Well we are a quilt store and some items are particularly large and bulky such as rolls of batting.
  We would like customers to be able to purchase and pay for them online if they wish, but do not want them to be able to select a shipping option on them as we just don't want to deal with shipping them.
  I have read the info on setting up a virtual product through Zoey, but cannot figure out how to change a product type from a simple product to a virtual product for inventory linked from POSIM.

  Hi Mary - it is not possible to change a Product Type once it is created. You will need to create the product as a Virtual Product in POSIM and sync it to Zoey using the POSIM Linker. POSIM Support should be able to help you with this.
