From POSUM to ZOEY

What am I doing wrong that it takes four to five hours for my new products to show up on my website?  My problem is mainly classes/events.  I create them in POSUM, check all the appropriate boxes for their location on Zoey (and therefor our website).  Today it's taken 5 hours, and the events/classes still do not show up on the website.  Is there a secret I don't know about?  Thanks everyone.

  I don't have any technical knowledge at all... but maybe this helps. Have you tried re-indexing your site? Under advanced -> index management. 

  I usually have to do this when I want new products to show up asap.

  How often is your linker running? If POSIM set it up for you, then it's probably every 15 minutes. But sometimes it seems to take forever for them to load, especially if you created a product on a computer that is NOT the server. Try closing POSIM completely on the machine where you created/web enabled them (you can re-open it right away, this just seems to help update the DB faster), then run the linker. 
  
  You also have your categories synced, right?
