To Our Valued Customers:
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Uri Foox - founder of Zoey.
I am writing to you today to let you know about an upcoming outage that will affect connectivity and access to your site. On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, beginning at approximately 2:00pm(14:00) New York Time we will be shutting down the servers that power your store as part of a massive upgrade to our infrastructure facility. This operation is expected to take anywhere between eight and twelve hours of time and is unfortunately an unavoidable outage. While your store may not be down for that length of time it is something that we want to communicate to you in advance so that you can best prepare.
As part of this upgrade our infrastructure will be upgraded to be better prepared for disaster recovery by upgrading the power that is fed to our data center, supplying redundant power to our servers, upgrading the internet connectivity that powers your store, implement redundant cooling and provide better physical security to our infrastructure.
During this time you will be able to track our progress by visiting: http://status.zoeycommerce.com - while phone support and ticketing may be delayed due to the volume of inquiries we will update this page with the latest information.
I would like to sincerely apologize for this planned outage and assure you that we will work as expeditiously and safely as possible to complete the work and restore global connectivity. I fully understand the impact that this will have on each and every one of you. The team and I spent a lengthy period of time in determining the best ways to mitigate the outage and ensure that service was restored as expeditiously as possible.
Thank you for being a valued Zoey customer and please look forward to additional emails from me in the coming days with any further details.
Thank you,
Uri & The Zoey Team
