Getting your products well positioned in Google Merchant Center can make Google Shopping your #1 sales channel. Google Shopping Feed for Zoey allows you to supply Google with highly relevant data in the most efficient way possible. We haven't settled for just making a feed that will "pass", we provide the tool-set for you to dominate Google Shopping results.
This App requires a license key to be purchased from Rocketweb. To begin, visit Rocket Web's extension page.
Once you have purchased the App and received your License key, it's time to log in to your Zoey Control Panel.
- Navigate to the Apps section
- Click on Manage next to Google Shopping Feed
- Click on the Settings section to expand
- Set Enabled to Yes
- Enter your License Key in the field provided
- Choose your Language and Country in Feed Localization
- Leave Feed path blank to use the default settings. Using default settings will make it easier to use our tutorials which use them!
- Select the Categories, Product Types, and Attribute Sets that will be used in the feed
- Add Out of Stock Products to your feed?
- Quantity mode - This setting is used when mapping the quantity value to parent products types such as configurable or grouped. We recommend using Item's Qty to give your shoppers the most accurate information.
- Use Batch Segmentation should be set to No except for catalogs with tens of thousands of products.
- Force Logging should be set to No
- Auto Skip Products - By default this feature is set to "Yes", meaning products that do not meet Google feed data requirements will be skipped. Setting it to "No" will force products to be added to the feed, but will still skip products matching the "Skip by Category" setting or if the product is specifically set to be skipped in the product attributes. Setting this to "No" and opening the feed output in a program like Microsoft Excel or Google Docs can help you identify missing info in your product data.
- Log skip products messages can also be set to No. Error messages for products are best downloaded from your Google Merchant Center.
- Find And Replace allows definition of a rule base matrix that would apply at the output of columns after all mapping has been done. We recommend making your updates in your Products List directly.
- Save Config
These are just the basics- from here you are going to get into setting up your feed, items and indeed your store to sell on Google Merchant Center!
When you start setting up your feed, you may need to add a few custom attributes to your store as well as update your products such as MPN, GTIN or Brand.
These three attributes are generally required in order to submit a new product feed. Brand is already set up for you by default, but you may need to update the options to suit your needs. MPN and GTIN are not part of Zoey's default settings so unless you migrated from a store using these, you will need to create a new text field attribute for these.
