Importing Configurable Products from Magento

Zoey allows you to import Configurable products from a Magento-based store via our One Click Migration Tool. Once the tool has built the products for you in Zoey, you will need to associate the simple products with the configurable product. This way, you can maintain your complex inventory with our simplified interface.

Before you begin

• Configurable products will be migrated using the 1-Click Migration tool in your Zoey Store, but Associated Products will not be linked until you complete the steps below. You can read more about the relationship between Configurable Products and their associated products here.
• Wait for the 1-Click migration process to finish before starting these instructions.

Step 1 - Retrieve product information from Magento

In your Magento store, visit System > Import/Export and select Export. Then, select Products as your Entity type and CSV as your file format. When the export is complete, download the .csv file.

Step 2 - Prepare CSV file for import

After downloading your product file, delete all columns, except for the following column types:

• SKU
• _super_products_sku 
• _super_attribute_code
• _super_attribute_option 
• _super_attribute_price_corr

Step 3 -  Upload your CSV file

In your Control Panel, hover your cursor over Advanced and select Import/Export.

Then, in the Import section, select Manage.

Set Entity Type to Products, and Import Behavior to Append Complex Data. Then, click Choose File to select and upload your file.

Step 4 - Import your file

Click Check Data to validate the information in your CSV.

The Check Data tool will notify you of any possible issues with the values in your spreadsheet under Validation Results. After confirming your spreadsheet's information is correct, click Import.

Great! Now your products will appear in your Products List (Products > Products List)
