If you are using an older version of Magento Community and need to manually migrate, it's important to remember some formatting needs to be done before your CSV will upload correctly in to your Zoey store.

Importing your Full CSV
In order to import your data in full, there's a few things you'll need to do first:
- Set up Categories
- Add custom Attributes and options
- Update your CSV formatting to match your new store
For Categories, Zoey uses the names rather than ID numbers, so that will change your CSV values. Our support experts recommend setting up your categories, throwing a few of the demo products in them and exporting your Zoey Catalog for a better look at what the CSVs look like.
You'll need to set up any custom attributes you have as well add any options you are using such as adding supplier names to manufacturer, add new colors, and so on. If it's in your CSV file, it should be in your Zoey Control Panel first. Text Field and Text Area attributes are the exception to this rule.
Remember to also check your column headers match the Attribute code in Zoey. Attribute codes are all lowercase and contain no spaces. Attribute options can contain spaces and uppercase letters so it's important to make sure these also match exactly as "pink" will not match "Pink " and will return an error.
Although you may be familiar with how to do these in Magento, please find below our tutorials on doing this in Zoey:
- Creating and Managing Categories
- Creating and Editing Attributes
- Creating and Managing Attribute Sets
Quick Import for Products
If you would like to just get these in products in and start playing with your store, you can follow the formatting in this tutorial: Adding New Products by CSV Import Remember, you can always update everything but the Attribute Set and Product Type later!
The essential attributes you will need in your CSV file for every product are below:
- sku
Stock Keeping Unit - a unique value to identify the product. No two items can share the same SKU in Zoey. - _attribute_set
Unless you have already set up Attribute Sets, set this to "Default" - _type
What type of product is this? Your options are: simple, configurable, virtual, and downloadable.
Grouped or bundle products can not be imported at this time and must be created in the Control Panel.
- name
The product's name- such as "Magic Wand". This should not be longer than 60 characters - description
The long description with detailed information regarding the product. - short_description
The shorter description that appears in the Product Essentials Block on the Product page - price
The amount you are charging your customers in your base currency for this product before sales or discounts. - status
Is the product Enabled or Disabled? Enabled is 1, Disabled, 2 - visibility
How will the customer be able to view this item?
Visible in Catalog and Search = 4
Visible in Catalog =2
Visible in Search = 3
Not visible individually = 1 - tax_class_id
Tax Class ID as set up under Set Up > Tax > Product Tax Classes. By default, Taxable Goods are 2 - weight
Enter a numerical value for the weight of this product. This will be used by any calculated shipping methods. - _product_websites
At this time, your only option is base
These will allow you to get your products in with the minimum information required. This is a great way to start on seeing how your store will work quickly, but you will want to go back and add the other information later.
