Here are some of the questions we have collected from our users on these new design tools!
Will using the new design tools affect my products, categories, or attributes?
Your catalog settings won't change at all when you change between the Classic or the new design tools.
All the category and product information will remain the same and pulled in the front end for Catalog (category) and Product pages.
Do I have to move over to the new design tools?
You are completely free to continue using the older design tools when editing your site. However, Zoey will devote the bulk of our development time towards improvements and bug fixes on the new design tools. Furthermore, our Zoey Support team won't be able to troubleshoot any issues with the classic design tools.
Do I have to recreate my store?
If you want to switch to the new design tools and use the easy drag and drop features and the preset styles, you would need to start customizing a new theme from scratch. The only information that remains is for your categories and products, such as product description.
How long will it take to recreate my store?
The time it takes depends on the amount of content on your site. Our new tools are far more intuitive, so we expect that creating and editing store content will be quicker than it was with the previous design tools. If you require assistance in creating a new design, you can work with one of our agency partners.
Can I use new themes with the old design settings?
You can only use new themes with the new design tools. You can browse new themes from Edit My Design > Browse Themes. The Browse Themes icon is located in the top-right corner.
If I prefer the old design tools, can I go back?
Yes! From Edit My Design > Default Theme, click Edit Theme. That will send you back to your older Design settings interface, as well as an older template from the previous build of your store.
Will Zoey migrate my current design?
Unfortunately, our Support Team is unable to migrate or redo your store design, but we are here to help if you have any questions on using your new design tools. You can also reach out to our agency partners.
Will the old design tools still be supported?
Support will be available for general inquiries about using the Design tools. However, assistance with advanced modifications such as CSS and HTML changes with the old design tools, as well as bug fixes and new features will not be supported.
We highly recommend migrating your store over to our new design tools to get the most out of your Zoey store!
